PNP shuts down Lotto outlets after Duterte declares PCSO games ‘illegal’

MANILA (UPDATE) – The Philippine National Police (PNP) began shutting down lotto kiosks and other gaming outlets nationwide Saturday, after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the suspension of gaming schemes authorized by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) PNP chief Police Gen Oscar Albayalde went to different lottery outlets in Baguio City to ask gaming outlets to close shop in line with the President’s order The president gave law enforcers 24 hours starting July 27 to stop the gaming activities operated, licensed and franchised by PCSO due to alleged “massive corruption” in the agency
